How Dräger Detector Tubes Work

Dräger short-term detector tubes use a colorimetric reagent that changes colour when it reacts with a specific gas. A calibrated hand pump draws a fixed volume of air through the tube, and the length of the colour change indicates the concentration.

Because the reaction is gas-specific, a single pump stroke can give a remarkably accurate spot reading in seconds — no batteries, no warm-up.
